An Island Retreat

"Even big kitchens have their problems.  For instance, the points of the work triangle (consisting of the sink, refrigerator and cooking range) may be spread too far out that they render the kitchen inefficient.  Generally speaking, this can be the case when these elements of the work triangle are separated from one another by eight feet or more.  This would create a triangle, the sides of which would add up to twenty-four feet.  Kitchen designers like to keep the sum of the sides of a work triangle under twenty-two feet.  However, a large kitchen's salvation may take the form of an island.  By locating the cooktop, for instance, in an island setting, the work triangle may be shortened.  The island also contributes to overall kichen efficiency by routing traffic around the work triangle.
When it comes to remodeling your kitchen, we feel strongly that a qualified designer should be assigned to visit your home and get a "feel" for the home and how the kitchen relates to it.  This is where our experience really pays off for you.  [Carole Frances Interior Design] can assist you [in] mak[ing] that dream kitchen a reality." -On Interior Design

Wicker Ways

"Wicker is something that is woven mostly from rattan.  This includes cane, pole, reed, and peel.  The popularity of wicker furniture has fluctuated throughout the history of home furnishing.  But, it was never so fashionable as it was in Victorian times.  People were so enamored of wicker that they put it in virtually every room of the house.  Today, things have come full circle to the point where people are embracing wicker furnishings to the same extent.  The reasons for this are the same as they were years ago.  Wicker is natural, handmade, and comfortable.  It is new and old at the same time.  It is rustic, yet exotic.  Although it may take the simplest or most elaborate forms to reflect the taste of the times, it always maintains an integrity of its own.
Your home is a reflection of your individual tastes.  At [Carole Frances Interior Design], we offer you the personalized service and attention that you require in creating and expressing your own unique individuality.  The most difficult task is in staying within your budget limitations.  We can help you achieve the quality look you desire at prices you can afford.  Look to us for the wall and window treatments that are individualistically reflective of your tastes." -On Interior Design

Defining Big

"Believe it or not, remodeling a large kitchen area is often more difficult than altering a smaller space.  The problem often lies with the fact that there are fewer limitations, if any, imposed by the space.  The homeowner is virtually free to do as she wishes and has difficulty in defining her needs.  This is where a rational plan becomes important.  The homeowner must focus on her own particular habits.  The kitchen, its work areas and storage spaces, will begin to take shape around the cook's methods and preferences.  Entertaining trends must also be analyzed.  Other family members' needs must be taken into account.  Before long, the family's lifestyle gives shape to a space which possesses no prior definitions of its own.
If you are contemplating an investment in a new kitchen, we can help you to coordinate this room with the other rooms in your home to help you achieve total harmony and balance throughout.  Our criteria for purchasing for our clients is that it has to be classic design, quality merchandise and the unusual something that you won't find just anywhere.  We are most conscious of our reputation and our clients demands." -On Interior Design
